Meditation Prayer Group

In this space, we will meditate on Scripture, on creation, on spiritual literature among other holy things. Our desire is to grow closer to God through the practice of meditation. For Christians, meditation is within the kataphatic tradition, focusing on filling your mind and heart with holy things. This is not to be confused with contemplation, where one sits before God in emptiness (the apophatic tradition).

Purpose of the Space
To draw closer to God through the practice of meditation.
Space Start Date
April 20, 2015
Welcome Text
Welcome to Meditation Prayer Group. If you are interested in meditation as a Christian living tradition, then please join us! We will be meditating together on Scripture and other holy things.
Format - How does the Space work?
We will seek to set aside times to meditate together, talk about our experiences of meditation, and offer resources to one another to help in our meditation practice. Each person will have the opportunity to link to meditation resources as well as create new meditations to share with the group, if they so wish. We will also have the ability to listen to or watch meditations.
